Peanut Butter and Banana Cake in a Mug! (Less than 5 minutes!)

What you need:

about 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (1/2 large mug)
2 to 3 tablespoons sugar
pinch salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon oil (I use canola oil)
1 tablespoon mashed banana
1 fat teaspoon peanut butter (I use crunchy)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon, or to taste

What you do:

1. Add flour, sugar, salt and baking powder to mug. Mix.
2. Add water and oil. Mix. Mixture should be liquid-ish. You may need to adjust liquids. Add banana and peanut butter. Mix.
3. Add vanilla and cinnamon. Mix. Take your mug to a microwave for 3 minutes. The cake will have a pale color once the 3 minutes are over. Fact: don't get fooled if you think that the cake is not ready yet, it is ready!
Source of recipe: I randomly put stuff inside a mug and 5 minutes later = Kaboom!'

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I like the idea but the measurements were totally off. I needed way more sugar, banana and peanut butter. It can be tweaked around though! Thank you  ;)b

This was better than I thought it was going to be! I used 1/2 tbs of peanut butter, and I still think it could have used more. Also used agave instead of sugar. I poured chocolate syrup on it, and it was delicious. Just be sure to eat the sides first because it quickly gets chewy and hard. I tried it with almond flour like nisawong said, but it didn't work.

Thank-you so much for this recipe...a microwavable homemade cake in a mug - genius!! And so yummy!!  I used the following measurements in a large mug and it turned out light and cakey and delicious  ;)b

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons maple syrup (I didn't have any sugar so I substituted)
1 tsp baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch sea salt
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons almond milk
1 tablespoon mashed banana
1 tablespoon peanut butter (I love peanut butter so I upped the amount)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

I'm thinking of replacing the all-purpose flour with almond flour and maybe adding chocolate chips next time  :)>>>

I really love the idea of this recipe, but the 1/2 mug of flour is a little hard to translate depending on what size mug you are using.  I used a really big mug, and wasn't sure of the correct proportions for the other ingredients.  Despite my difficulties (just kept adding more and more liquids till it looked decent), it was still awesome!  Perhaps a little too bready for me, but that was probably just my unjust calculations.  Seriously the perfect way to get a quick fix of some deliciously flavorful cake.  Thanks so much! (Ps, no dishes except the mug=awesome!)
