I have been eating something like this and everyone thinks Im crazy! I toast Ezekial (spelling?) bread till nice and crunchy then spread the PB and layer the pickles on top. Declicious snack if your in the mood for something warm.  ;D

I agree it doesn't sound good, but I gave it a try and I actually like it.  i don't think its to die for but its good enough to take to work on days I don't get a lunch break, thank you.

once on a dare, i ate a sandwich with peanut butter, strawberry jam, mustard, and pickles. it sounded completely and utterly disgusting but it was actually pretty good! thanks to all of your convincing, i tried this and it was pretty yummy! not one of my favourites, but still pretty good.

As a huge carb, pb, and dill pickle fan, I tried this. It's alright, but i would rather just eat them separately.

Omygosh! I used to make these all the time when I was reading Sue Grafton's alphabet mysteries. Her main character's favorite snack was a PB and pickle sandwich. I used the sweet bread and butter pickles instead of dill. SO YUMMY! I think I'll make this tomorrow for lunch. :)

:D
After reading this recipe and about 4 comments, I immediately got up, went to  the kitchen and made one. I already had 2 sliced of whole grain bread today, so I made it open-faced on a rice cake. YUMMMMM!!! As I ate it, I read the rest of the comments. Now I am officially a PB and Pickle addict!

I LOVE VEGWEB!!!

WOW! I had no idea that anyone else ate these. My Mom would make them for me when I was a kid and I passed this on to my daughter. I always thought it was something she came up with when she was in college(1960-1964 if you get the implication).
Some other variations are with chips inside the sandwich or open on an english muffin or bagel
By the way, always make sure to toast your bread.
