What you need:

2 cups nondairy milk (I use soy)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons agave
1 mango
2 passion fruits
1 cup loquats

What you do:

1. Heat the milk enough for the sugar to dissolve. Add sugar and agave. Once the sugar is completely dissolved, stick the mixture in the freezer just to cool it down.
2. Next, blend the mango, passion fruit, and loquat together. I use all fresh fruit except for the loquats. As they have a short period of ripeness, I harvest and freeze them right away. You can really use any tropical fruits, but these 3 compliment each other really well.
3. If you have difficult blending, add a little milk. Let cool. Pour the cooled milk and sugar into ice cream maker (I use an electric maker), followed by the blended fruit. Mix until frozen, according to manufacturer's directions.
Source of recipe: I was craving something sweet, but not chocolatey and this ensued.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Okay, that's very convenient because I just went to the grocery store and bought peaches to make a pie for my dad's birthday, so I'll save some to make this :) Thank you

I would advise using something like peaches instead. Loquats are called 'asian plumbs', but they are most similar to a peach, only more tart.

If I can't find loquats, can I sub them with apples? I looked up loquats in Wikipedia because I wasn't familiar with them and it said that they are distant relatives of apples. Wondering if you think they would make a good subsititute.
