Quick and Easy Banana Berry Sherbet

What you need:

3 medium bananas
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup plain soymilk
1/2 cup juice
4 tablespoons ground flax seed (optional)

What you do:

1) Slice the bananas and place on a plate. Place plate of bananas in the freezer for a couple of hours or until frozen.
2) Take frozen banana slices out of the freezer and place half of the bananas in a blender. Add 1/2 cup of soymilk to blender, blend. Add the rest of the bananas and the juice to blender and blend. Use nectar for the juice if you want to make it sweet. I have used many different flavor of juices and they all seem to compliment the sherbet, so you can't go wrong on any certain one really.
3) Add a cup of frozen strawberries to blender, blend. It will become very hard at this point to blend because it will be very thick, just stop and stir it a bit if you have to to get it going again. Don't add any liquids to get it going, this is a sherbet, you want it to be thick. Add more strawberries if you want to make it thicker.
4) Product is ready to be served. Stir in some flax seed if you want for the added health benefit. I stir this directly in the bowl I am going to eat it out of to spare the mess in my blender.
You can change the type of fruit used in this to make a variety of flavors that suit you. I make this about every other day, so simple and easy! And, super delicious!
Source of recipe: I was craving some sherbet one day and decided to give this a shot. It is a very quick, easy, healthy desert/snack that I concocted. I am a very busy person, so I try to make things that are high in nutrition but don't require much time, thinking, and contain ingredients that can be found at any grocery store.
