SO HOW'D IT GO?

I have only just switched from vegetarian to vegan now for about 5 months. Peanut butter is one of the things I love to eat. Thanks so much for a yummy recipe that is so simple for a beginner. I used molasses instead of the maple syrup and they were totally awesome. They came out all right. And even my mother is not a vegan loved them. Thanks so much for a great recipe

It's alright, nothing to jump up and down about.

Hi, these look great! I'm quite new to the vegan baking scene so was wondering what canola oil is for and whether i can replace it with any other kind?
thanks!

My cookies are too dry and crumble when you bite into them, but this could be because I used whole spelt flour...
:-\

Also, the cookies are not very sweet: on a 1 to 10 scale of sweetness with 10 being insanely, richly sweet-- I give the cookies a 5.  Maybe this is a good thing for other bakers... my dad loves the cookies!

A tip: before adding the peanut butter or syrup, add the oil-- swishing the oil around in the measuring cup.  Then, add the pb and syrup... This prevents  sticking.  Yay!

this was pretty good!
i also used light smart balance and i used sugar-free syrup and replaced 1/4 cup of regular flour with wheat flour (i was afraid doing all wheat would alter the flavor too much)
and i added roasted peanuts
i cooked them for 9 minutes and they came out cooked but soft in the middle
due to my own modification of sf syrup i thought they werent quite as sweet, but my bf liked them so thanks!

:) What a great, simple little recipe.  I made these with oil and whole wheat pastry flour and everyone loved them.  I found that baking for 8 minutes was just right, but it may depend on how big you make them.  All in all...great cookies...Thanks!  ;)b

I burned the first batch, even though I only cooked it for 15 minutes. It also tasted mostly sweet, so I put some extra peanut butter (salt and sugar free) in, as well as some cinnamon, before I put the second batch in the oven. I cooked them for 10ish minutes at a little under 350, and they turned out fine. These don't spread at all though, I guess because they have oil as opposed to shortening.

I just made these, now if i were to have payed attention to them when baking them :-[ they would be AMAZING. However, half of them were burnt, ugh , but the good ones were very yummy. I added in a little bit of water because i was just short on maple syrup, and a little extra oil in hopes to get rid of crumbliness in the last review. It wound up making 3 dozen instead of 2, which is always a plus (mainly because i have more good ones left, hah). Very good recipe! It succeeded in taming my cookie craving.
