Sauteed Onions With Balsamic Vinegar

What you need: 

2 medium onions

2 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoon powdered sugar

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

What you do: 

Slice the onions to desired thickness

Sautee them in oil

When browning, add the sugar and let caramelize

Add the balsamic vinegar and make sure they are all coated\

Serve in a bowl, add vanilla extract, mix well and enjoy!

This can basically be done with any sweet vegetable or fruits... It goes particularly well with pears, which is the original recipe
