Scrumdidliumptious Crispy Rice Treats

What you need:

1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup agave (I use hazelnut flavored)
4 cups crispy rice cereal (I use envirokidz Koala Krisp)
2 squares semi sweet vegan chocolate
1-2 tablespoons nondairy milk (I use almond milk)

What you do:

1. Combine agave and peanut butter on stove top. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until melted and well combined.
2. Remove from heat. Add crispy rice, stir until well combined. Pour into a lightly greased pan, smooth out.
3. Melt chocolate squares with the milk. Drip all over the top of the crispy rice treat. Stick pan in the fridge to cool.
Serve with a tall glass of almond milk! Try not to eat the whole pan at once!
Source of recipe: I was totally craving crispy rice treats, and needed to come up with something. . . this is the YUMMY result!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I made these using golden syrup (aka light treacle) instead of the agave and corn flakes instead of rice crispies.  And I skipped the chocolate.  So I didn't really make this recipe at all, but they were really good. :) I was worried they wouldn't hold together very well but they do, as long as they don't get too warm.  I think they would hold together better with rice crispies because they'd pack together better than corn flakes, but I was just using what I had on hand.  This recipe was a good starting point. :)
