Simple Oat Dog Cookies

What you need:

2 cups oats
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
4 ounces of baby food or cooked and pureed sweet potato/yam (I used sweet potato and sweet pea)
2/3 cup apple juice

What you do:

My Labrador and picky Jack Russel love these treats, they're so easy and a LOT cheaper (and most of the time, healthier) than store-bought.
1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and heavily grease a lined baking sheet.
2) Mix together all ingredients and let stand for 5 minutes so the oats can soak up some of the liquid. After standing, the oats should be almost "oatmeal like" in consistency.
3) If you have a big dog: Drop onto the baking sheet using a tablespoon and spread them out until they are about 2 1/2" in diameter. If you have a small dog: Drop onto the baking sheet using a 1/2 tablespoon and spread them out until they are about 1 1/2" in diameter.
4) Bake for about 16 minutes. Carefully scoop them off and cool on a cooling rack.
Source of recipe: I remember making dog treats similar to this a few years back, and thought I could just come up with a recipe myself. So I did!
