SO HOW'D IT GO?

I tried this last week and loved it!  I too cut down on the amount of oil used but kept everything else the same.  I am planning to make this for a potluck at work next Wednesday.  I am sure it will be a hit.  I will report back Wednesday evening!

These are fantastic! I didn't have the cajun spices, so I mixed in some Indian spices and cut down the amount of oil. They were devoured in no time. :)

I used very little oil, Old Bay seasoning and onion salt. I cooked them longer than stated but took them out before they were fully crunchy so they're soft on the inside. Perfect!

I hate to be a buzzkill, but... well, I'm gonna be a buzzkill.

I've made this three times now, and they always just never impressed me. While I love chickpeas, and crunchy things, I did not enjoy these for some reason.

Great recipe!!

I couldn't find cajun spice anywhere so I used mesquite spice and did not add the chili powder since the mesquite spice had that and I don't like really spicy food.  I cooked them for 25 minutes and they did not get crispy but they were amazing!  I literally could eat the whole recipe and so I made two more batches for my husband and I to eat later.

These are great... I used crushed red pepper instead of the cajun spice... I just tried this with hominy... it took over an hour in the oven but the hominy was great just like corn nuts!! Just dry the hominy on paper towel for an hour before the hour in the oven!!

First of all..thanks for the great site.  I'm new here!

Now on to the chick pea snack....I made it the way the lady reviewed it where she used italian seasoning instead of what's recommended.  I had to because if not I'll get heartburn and I don't want that.

I just made some right now and they are DELICIOUS!  Thanks so much for a simple snack.  I'm on a healthy diet so I don't get heartburn anymore, and it's worked, as long as I eat properly I get ZERO heartburn...no medication required....and my diet is pretty much a vegan one.

So I came here for some more ideas.  Thanks!

Amazing! This is such a great idea for a snack, its crunch is really different and amazing and the spices are perfect! I used cayenne pepper, as that is all I had, and two tablespoons of grape seed oil. What I did differently to prepare it, however, was put the oil, seasonings in a bowl and stirred it up. I then put the chickpeas in the bowl and made sure the seasonings and oil was all over it; following I put the pepper and salt and stirred. I made sure it was thoroughly mixed and evenly spread it on the baking sheet. They were probably in the oven for about 45 minutes total, stirring it around every so often.

VERY good! I will definitely be making these more often and I thank you for your incredible recipe! :D

Have a good'n!  ;)b

This is one of my all time favorite snacks!  :>

I made some adjustment:
- can of chickpeas
- 1 tbsp olive oil (just one seemed to be enough)
- 1 tbsp vegan taco seasoning
- pepper to taste

I left salt out of this recipe because there seemed to be enough in the other spices used

Yummers!!
