SO HOW'D IT GO?

this is a good, simple cake recipe.  i use apple sauce for most of the oil and balsamic vinegar. when you're making anything chocolate and it calls for vinegar, use balsamic. it makes it just a bit more decadent. i also like to use a tiny bit of almond extract when i want something a little different.  ;)b

This came out nicely. I would have liked it a little sweeter, but with a light icing I think it will be just right.
Thanks!

I don't have any soy or almond milk or creamer in the house and I wanted to make something sweet.  I found this recipe after searching all afternoon on this site.  Per the other reviewer, I tested the cake after 25 minutes and let it bake an additional 7 minutes.  Let it cool slightly and dusted it with confectioners sugar.  Sweet, but not too sweet.  I might add walnuts or almonds, vegan chocolate chips, coffee, the options are limitless.  Thanks!

This IS super easy and hyper tasty but it does NOT take an hour to bake.  Mine was done in 30 minutes.  My advice is to start checking it after 25 minutes and if it's not done, check it every 5 minutes thereafter until it's done.

The second time I made this cake, I accidentally forgot to add the vanilla but it still tasted good.  I couldn't notice much of a difference.  It's better with the vanilla but if you need a major chocolate fix but you're out of vanilla, you can still make this cake.  I know I would.  :)
