SO HOW'D IT GO?

You can actually find loose leaf Thai tea at most well stocked Asian grocery stores.  It's a red tea that is usually colored with dye to give the final product it's distinctive orange/red color.  The traditional way to make it is by adding sugar and sweetened condensed milk to the brewed tea.  I would use http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=6295.0 and unrefined sugar to taste.

real Thai tea is orange even before brewing. you can recreate the flavor with recipes like this one (which I'm so excited to try!) but I work at a small tea shop and we actually do sell loose-leaf thai tea. it smells crazy good- lots of vanilla.
