Tomato Basil Burgers

What you need:

1 15.5oz can garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained
1 1/3 cup quick oats
1 small can tomato paste
handful fresh basil
6-10 white mushrooms cleaned and diced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
garlic to taste
Italian seasoning to taste

What you do:

In a medium bowl smash chickpeas with a potato masher until pasty.
Add oats and tomato paste and blend.
Add in mushrooms, soy, garlic and seasonings
Add basil to taste (I freeze my basil, crunch it up and use, easier than cutting!)
blend together until ingredients seem uniformly distributed.
Form patties- I usually get 6 decent sized ones.
Grill or pan fry with light olive oil. Top with your favorite stuff and enjoy!
I find these freeze really well-and cook pretty quickly from frozen.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

These were easy and yummy, but they kind of fell apart when I cooked them.  I fried them in a pan.  Otherwise, they were great and a good meal to make plenty of and freeze for later on.
