Tomato Basil Hummus Pizza

What you need:

whole wheat pizza dough (I use pre-packaged)
cornmeal
dried & fresh basil
garlic powder
1-2 tablespoons olive oil
2 plum tomatoes
small sweet onion
tomato basil hummus

What you do:

Preheat oven according to directions for pizza dough. Drizzle about 1 tablespoon of olive oil on pizza pan and spinkle a mixture of corn meal/dried basil/garlic powder on the pan (gives the crust extra crunch and flavor). After working the dough to fit the pan, spread a generous layer of hummus. Then, saute the onion in the remaining olive oil and thinly slice the tomatoes. Arrange onions and tomatoes on the pizza and cook according to the given directions on the dough. With a few minutes left to cook, I usually add coarsely chopped fresh basil.
Such a great pizza, my omni friends love it! So many other great combos too (examples: red pepper hummus with red peppers, onion, spinach, cilantro) Yum yum, give it a try!
