2 pounds ground vegan "burger"
2 tablespoons dried onions
1-6 ounces can tomato paste
1 package vegan chilli dry mix
1-8 ounces can tomato sauce
8 ounces water
1 bay leaf
2 tablespoons vegan Worcestershire sauce
sprinkle of oregano
Heat "burger" and dried onion in medium sauce pan. Add tomato paste and chilli mix to "burger" and onions. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a slow simmer. Let cook 1-2 hours to desired doneness. Remove bay leaf before serving.
*Note: If you double this recipe only use one package chilli mix.
This sauce can be frozen. My grandmother would let it cool and put spoon size dollops into saran wrap and put them all in a baggy and freeze. This way we could take them out one at time and heat them for a hot dog.
