Vegan Chocolate Frosting

What you need: 

1 cup vegan margarine, at room temperature
4 cups powdered sugar (make your own by blending sugar and cornstarch)
dash salt
2 tablespoons vanilla
4 tablespoons nondairy milk
1/2 cup cocoa powder

What you do: 

1. Blend margarine until mushy.
2. Add vegan powdered sugar, salt, vanilla, milk, and cocoa (all remaining ingredients).
3. You can add in more milk to make it a bit smoother, but not too much. Spread on cake and enjoy.

Delicious frosting! It had great texture and flavor. Quite like commercial, pre-made stuff, but better! I used this on the Easy Vegan Chocolate Cake from this site.

This frosting was the yummiest vegan frosting I have ever had.  I made it for my boyfriend's birthday cake.  He loved it!

I quartered the ingredients, heated the margarine for about 10 seconds (it was right out of the fridge), left out the salt, and mixed it with a fork and it turned out FABULOUS. I was very impressed. I can't even imagine how good it would be if I went about it more efficiently. Bravo Mr. Wally!! :)

this turned out a little gooey but i did cut it in fourth... definately on-target choc. taste though! :-*

Whoa mama this is good! I would recommend commercial powdered sugar, but I'll suffer through this time because the flavor is so good!! I halfed the amount of sugar but used everything else as indicated, not really measuring much. I used 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp almond extract as well as a generous tablespoon of vegan sour cream. ;D

This turned out great! I halved it since folks said it made too much. Half was just right for a 2-layer cake. (no extra). I also kept the 1/2 cup of cocoa (scan't) even though I halved the other ingredients, and I substituted orange juice for soy milk. Yum! I didn't think the vanilla was too much at all!
