SO HOW'D IT GO?
I used vanilla almond milk instead and it never really formed a "batter" just cinnamon almond milk that was very tempting to drink! Turned out pretty good though... ok so I ate french toast almost the entire day -- well until I ran out of a complete loaf of bread! ;)
really good made with banana bread.
lol I've still got the same batch sitting in the fridge. I'm not ill, and it still tastes good so I don't see what the problem is :-\
Betcha couldn't do that with eggs..
Yay I just tried this tonight as a 'test' for tomorrow morning, at first I was like whoah why is there so much milk because I've never made french toast before, and I'm just stupid. ANYWAY, it turned out really good and I ended up making another one. I could've kept making them as well but you have to stop somewhere. I used gram flour as baypuppy did and date syrup for sweetener. The good thing I noticed was that it doesn't mater if you burn them because they don't taste like it :P
Was kinda scared they'd all fall apart like happened to other people I have to admit, but it's gotta be to do with the bread you use, as it nearly happened to me on the second piece - which was slightly less sturdy and thinner than the first (i need a bread slicer...). We'll see how it's kept overnight tomorrow morning. Thanks for the greatness :)
;D Yum, this is really good!
Since this makes alot for me and my BF, I keep the left overs in a jar in the fridge, so it is good for a couple days. My BF loved it, said that it was better then eggy french toast.
Oh, WOW!!!! :D When I saw this recipe I was very skeptical and didn't have high hopes. This recipe is much better than French toast with eggs. I'm sure much healthier, too! :)
Wonderful! The tahini is a great idea. It made it taste more like Burger King french toast. I've made it twice. Once in the oven and once in the skillet. It was great both times. Much better than the french toast that calls for bananas.
i'll be damned if that photo doesn't make me want to try this recipe!
My husband and I had French toast as a part of our breakfast this morning. I made it using the bread that I made from the Outrageously Easy Big Bread recipe. It was very wholesome and delicious!
I love this recipe. It is so easy and yummy! I made it for my guy today and served it with some Smart Links...He loved it (he is omni)...I also served it for another omni, my mom who loved it too.
