Brazilian Beans
2 cups pinto beans
7 cups water
1 small onion
2 teaspoons garlic
oil for frying
Place beans and water in a pressure cooker, Close lid and wait for about 10 minutes until pressure cooker begins working. Once it begins, time about a half hour to 45 minutes for beans. When time is up, get pan and place underneath open water faucet- using a fork to lift pressure weight until all pressure is out.
If beans are done (some times it is necessary to add some water just in case beans have run dry) place on low heat and leave it on the burner stirring occasionally so it wont stick to the bottom of the pan.
Get a frying pan and place oil in it just enough to cover the bottom of the pan and wait till it gets hot. When it is hot, place chopped onion and garlic in it and let both of them brown. When browned place with beans. Cook together until desired thickness is achieved.
SO HOW'D IT GO?
