grapefruit scones?

soo.
i feel like baking right now, and i think i wanna make some scones. i usually make the orange scones from vwav and theyre really yummy, but! we have no oranges!
we have like a zillion grapefruits, and the temptation to make grapefruit scones is EXTREMEEEE, except im kinda worried theyd be gross..
thoughts anyone?
other scone recipes?
or just other baked goods recipes i should make?  ;D

I love grapefruit, and I love scones!
I say, go for it!
(I have nothing to lose, of course.....)
But let us know if they turn out!

eee! i made them!
theyre really yummy, except..well. im not sure if this is just me, but they make my mouth feel kind of weird afterwards..tingly almost..its quite mysterious..  ???
i think id add a little more zest to the scones themselves since they didnt taste so much like grapefruit. the glaze was excellent though.
thanks for the encouragement  :)>>>

i bet those would go really well with the grapefruit maramlade they have here in Dominica..

well, that is if you like grapefruit.. i dont.. its one of the few thinks i cant eat.. the bitter is just too much for me.. even the sweet ones...

but im glad your scones turned out good :).. i made some a while ago that had guava in them..

hehe yeah since it is a tropical island, and berries refuse to grow here (except for an occasional wild raspberry), they have jams/jelly made of some awesome stuff.. i have seen:

passionfruit marmalade
grapefruit marmalade
guava jelly
coconut jelly
sweet potato jelly
tamarind jelly
pepper lime jelly

i think theres more but i cant remember off the top of my head..
the coconut jelly is the absolutely most delicious thing i have ever eaten.. it is coconut, lime, cane juice, cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg.. omg im gunna go eat a spoonful of it right now  :)>>>
