Mainstream Vegan Thanksgiving foods

I was wondering if the instant potato buds are vegan?  The ingredients list no animal ingredients but I am suspicious on what the mono-diglycerides are.  Anyone have any ideas if instant potato buds are vegan? I may use them for my thanksgiving dish.

Oh yeah and what about French's Fried Onions?  It looks like they may be vegan too as I didnt see any suspicious ingredients.  They would go well with a green bean casserole

I also came across a bag of cubed bread labeled as "Stuffing".  No chicken fat or chicken broth or "natural flavors" were listed under its ingredients.  So I guess it's vegan, too?

I have so much trouble telling whether the ingredients are animal-derived or not due to the sneakiness of hidden ingredients!

Wow... this is news to me.  Looks like mono-diglycerides can be either plant or animal derived.  See this:

I don't know about the fried onions.  My experience with stuffing is that you have to be careful about whey in the bread in addition to whatever flavors may be in the seasoning.

diglycerides you have to be careful of. contact the company if you're unsure... and if it's last minute, there are organic ones without the addititives available at whole foods, trader joes and other health food stores

Sorry this is after Thanksgiving, but I e-mailed the companies after reading your post, and heard back from them today.  Betty Crocker Potato Buds are vegan, and French's Original Flavor French Fried Onions are also vegan.  Maybe you can use them for Christmas dinner!  :)
