favorite hobbies?

i'm always interested to find out what people's hobbies are, and especially since i just recently realized i'm not the only vegan with an eating disorder, i'm more curious, because i've had many people tell me that it's often people with those kinds of afflictions that are the most creative

like i paint, and i did most of my painting in the hospital for a therapy kinda. so what do you do that you love?

this is my newest painting (the pic quality isnt great)

anything to do with flamenco: listening to flamenco music, watching flamenco movies, practicing flamenco, teaching flamenco, dancing flamenco, learning about flamenco, etc. also workout videos like bellydancing, yoga, sweating to the oldies (LOL), etc.

Would that be the "Not Strictly Bluegrass Festival"?

No, but it looks cool.  My dad can play by ear and can pick up any instrument, play around with it, and then just start making music.  His favorite genre is bluegrass because it's so technical and fast, so I've been wanting to take my parents to the Not Strictly Bluegrass Festival.

I was talking about Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit.  I camp out with Rusties (NY fans).  People fly in from around the country and around the world to join us camping, so it's an amalgamation of some really cool people.

CSNY/Neil always perform(s) and Dave Matthews and Pearl Jam/Eddie Vedder often perform.  Performers for the last several years include:  Ryan Adams, Barenaked Ladies, Beck, Tony Bennett, Tracy Chapman, Sheryl Crow, Counting Crows, Death Cab for Cutie, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Ben Harper, EmmyLou Harris, Billy Idol, Incubus, Indigo Girls, Norah Jones, Jerry Lee Lewis, Los Lonely Boys, Paul McCartney, Sarah McLachlan, John Mellencamp, Willie Nelson, Phish, REM, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails (very cool performance backed by stringed instruments), Jill Sobule, James Taylor, Tom Waits, Wallflowers, Gillian Welch, The Who, Wilco, Lucinda Williams, Robin Williams, Brian Wilson

As for hobby, cooking is my main one.  I love cooking things from other cultures with ingredients that I   I don't know that you can call it a hobby but I love to watch independently produced movies.  The kind where a group of "non-Hollywood"  people get together and say "Let's make a movie."

COMRADE!!  :D ;D ;D :D
I love films and performances that require something of you, that engage the viewer; even some that what I see may not be what you see (although not some of the Dadaist "performance artists" that seem to populate a lot of Northern Spain). I'm the sort of person that will watch a film to the place that I can quote the script chapter and verse. We've decided that my epitaph should be "You May Quote Me". (Which is in itself a quote...from "Harvey"). After all I've spent most of my adult life quoting other people... ;D
