Reasons to brag or congratulate each other.......

I thought we could add a topic that says -- "Way to Go!" or "Congrats" to our fellow VegWebbers! Maybe we could also use this area to toot our own horns. Say stuff like -- "I just got an A+ in my class!" It's okay to pat yourself on your back sometimes.

I'll start off by saying - it looks like Webmistress Laura got rid of spammer/dickcheese "claudiuswie". Way to go, Laura! And thank you!  ;)b

woo hoo! PM that really is a reason to brag.  I don't know that I can do that.  I've been in a piss poor mood since boxing day because of my dad, whereas I should have done what you did and just picked myself up, but I'm just that strong.

My reason to brag (it's a silly reason but I'm posting anyways) - I just picked up my car and drove from the hospital to the shops and then along the sea front and didn't crash once!! (even though I was driving like granny)

Jess & Allison -

You are indeed.

Shelloid -

Thank you thank you. :) I hope you saw my comment I made to you regarding your dad? I want you to be better than ever.

Also, congrats on your driving! That's very exciting and nerve-racking all at the same time. Is this your first car ever? Or your first car in NZ?

yes I saw you comment re: my dad.  It really helped.  Everyone's comments have helped as I have no close friends here in NZ so no one to talk to about it.

And yes, my first car ever.  I could never afford to learn when I was younger, and then living in London never needed to.  I don't absolutely need a car now, but at weekends when N I'm kind of trapped in the house coz public transport here sucks and is expensive.  So at least now I can do stuff.  And yes, it was very nerve racking - not sure who it was worse for - me driving  or N as the passenger!?

I'm glad I could help..even if a little bit.

I'm going to use this time to congratulate Shelloid!! She got her first car..ever!! I'm happy for her and her ability to succeed at this task. She's bettered herself and her situation and should be proud of herself.

Ms. abrimmer --

Sad to say, we don't know each other. I'd like to change that, though. I'm always interested in meeting new people.

In the meantime, I'd like to thank you for your kind words of encouragement. :) I used to be the one who would swim in the pit. Not anymore.

-Josh

I would really like to get to know you too. :) And you're very welcome! I've got a hand to lend and a hug to share anytime.

I am proud of myself.  I did not go into deep withdrawal mode, nor did I buy any antidepressants or anything of that nature. I am dealing with the inevitable disappointment rather well, mine thinkit. I actually turned it around all by mineself...with a little help from my friends here.

Let me be the first to say - that is awesome, Ms. Yabbit!  :) You have been on a roll lately and I'm very proud of you, happy with the steps you've made to success and happy with the successes you've made. I hope you are happy too. :)

PS. I'm sorry for my ramblings in "Reasons to Frown". Just tell me to eff off. Haha

Sweetie, I'll call you my next insomnia night. That might just do the trick.

Speaking of phonebooks, I'll never forget the thin little flyer that called itself the phone book for a place called Davis, OK. They listed people's names, last name first, and then in parenthesis whatever nickname they were known by. (Example: Jones, Paul (SlimJim). And a lot of adresses were listed as "East of Town" etc. No RR number, no box number, just "East of Town." Cuz like, everybody knows where SlimJim lives, don't they!

Hahahaha! So, that means it would be something like - Doe, Jane (The Town Floozie) "Red Light District" Davis, OK
