Reasons to brag or congratulate each other.......

I thought we could add a topic that says -- "Way to Go!" or "Congrats" to our fellow VegWebbers! Maybe we could also use this area to toot our own horns. Say stuff like -- "I just got an A+ in my class!" It's okay to pat yourself on your back sometimes.
I'll start off by saying - it looks like Webmistress Laura got rid of spammer/dickcheese "claudiuswie". Way to go, Laura! And thank you! ;)b

I just found out I've been approved for paid vacation. I will be off work for 5 days! :D No call center for 5 days! Hallefuckinglujah!
Now...where to go? What to do? I want to get out of Ohio (permanently). :D

I love my theatre class. I met the director of the school play today. She called me handsome, we bounced ideas off each other for the play annnnnd I've been put in charge of sound for the play. Hollerrrrrr!

My RTB: I actually said No. Twice.
This weekend is the Annual General Meeting of my church, where they approve the budget, discuss plans, and elect the Parish Council. I actually called my pastor and the churchwarden and told them that I am not a candidate for the PC. As in, don't nominate me or let me be nominated.
There are several reasons for this, but mostly--I'd be useless at anything to do with admin. I can work, speak, translate/interpret...but don't ask me to take Sunday School with the kiddies or be on the council. Other years I have simply played hooky and stayed home because if you're not present you can't be elected or nominated, but this year I decided enough is enough. I don't want the job and they can't force me, even though we're a small group. I'd be terrible at it anyway.
If I say no every year they'll get used to the idea, I hope.
But I'm usually horrible at saying "No."
