Reasons to smile
I guess not everyone needs to find a reason, but... What made you smile and/or laugh today?
My first LOL of the day was caused by this LOLdog.
I went to the uniform laundry room at work yesterday, to ask if I could try on a size smaller in my trousers. And they fit! The laundry lady asked me if I needed a new shirt, too, so I tried the next size down in that, too. And it fit! Wow. My pants had been slipping down my hips a little for weeks, but last week they got ridiculously slippy. So happy to have confirmation that my body's changing shape/size a little. :iloveyou:
Humming along to the occasional good song at work... it's amazing how much it can lift my mood. ;)b
Overhearing customers' reactions when they can't decide whether flowers are real or not. It's hilarious either way - when they think fake are real, or real are fake. ;D
Two nights of good relaxing sleep. I feel like a new person.
It's Friday!!! And I got a new puppy :) mostly so Josh will have something to cuddle with when he comes over hehehe. I will try to post pics sometime this weekend.

blink 182 is releasing screen print posters on the 20th of every month this year for their 20th anniversary. They only do 182 of each and a handful of those are for the bands friends/family. I managed to snag one. They sold out in 5 minutes. Awesome. Glad I was computer ready right when they posted it (Every month it's at a random time).
Eeeeeee.
But, it is a quarter inch from being a standard size. Agh. A quarter inch too big. And there is no way I'm cutting it, and it's huge. AKA. Expensive to frame party. WORTH IT
i'm applying for study abroad programs in new zealand and australia!!
Great!, VH. I hope it comes through for you. One of my high school friends just packed up her DD for a 4 mo. study program in NZ. The whole idea of studying in other countries is exciting to me.

I keep waking up at 6.30 but hey, if I go to bed at 11, that's still waaay more sleep than I'd been getting. I have actually been falling asleep before midnight!! It's amazing what you can get done before 10 AM when you have slept well.
Stormie, I thiink about you all the time. Maybe you need a course of massage?

My RTS: MIL is physically moved into the new assisted living. We still have unpacking and cleaning up her old appartment to do. When she finished eating supper, DS 18 and I walked arround the building and she was reacting to all the new sights and loving it. It is a beautiful facility. I get home and was talking to DD20. DD and DH went with her on her official tour when she first got there. She was admiring many of the same new things on that tour.
Anyone want the kitten I am cloning out of the mats from MIL's cat? I got about a kitten sized fur ball off her cat during the last 24-36 hrs. He still needs a good bit of work but he looks and feels much better.

I read that statement about cloning the kitten, and then when I read "He still needs a good bit of work" I immediately saw you sitting at the kitchen table, stitching the mats together to make the kitten. "Well, he's not finished yet, but he's taking shape just fine!"

RTS: My favourite student turned up today. On her bike. Which she parked in my living room. ;D I love that she flew 300 miles for a tutoring session.
Well, OK, yeah, she spent the weekend with her family, too. But she called twice to confirm the class.
My RTS is that we got to go visit our son yesterday. He's been interning with Animal Place all month. He's loving it there and seemed so much more grown up. What an amazing place! We got to see some of those poor chickens they rescued from a distance. They were enjoying the fresh air, fresh water, and fresh food. It was a beautiful thing to see! He told me tonight that he believes this has been a really good experience for him. Oh, and that he wants to smuggle Hope the turkey home, lol! :)
My 48 year old self is learning Egyptian belly dancing. Never knew I'd still be able to move like that after a spinal fusion.
I bought an exercise machine (generic total gym) and omg it works, in 15 minutes I was tired and had worked up a sweat and it was fun! I'm gonna do more tonight probably. Hell has frozen over guys, I just said exercising was fun! :-D
I know it's not a huge deal, but I talked to a stranger today. I'm normally very bad at talking with people I don't know. I mean, I freak out if the perfume sample lady is too aggressive. She was walking her shih tzu and my shih tzu Annie was in the yard. We talked about dogs and pet grooming and how awesome shih tzus are.
PS- you haven't heard much about Annie, but I adopted her last month. She thinks I'm the greatest thing in the world.
