Reasons to smile
I guess not everyone needs to find a reason, but... What made you smile and/or laugh today?
My first LOL of the day was caused by this LOLdog.
I went to the uniform laundry room at work yesterday, to ask if I could try on a size smaller in my trousers. And they fit! The laundry lady asked me if I needed a new shirt, too, so I tried the next size down in that, too. And it fit! Wow. My pants had been slipping down my hips a little for weeks, but last week they got ridiculously slippy. So happy to have confirmation that my body's changing shape/size a little. :iloveyou:
Humming along to the occasional good song at work... it's amazing how much it can lift my mood. ;)b
Overhearing customers' reactions when they can't decide whether flowers are real or not. It's hilarious either way - when they think fake are real, or real are fake. ;D

A sneaky kiss in the produce chiller at work when nobody else was around. (It took ALL DAY for there to be a moment when nobody was around. I waited... and waited... ::) ;D)

We too had beautiful weather today, pearly-grey morning and cool temps. Now the sun is out but it's neither hot nor cold. Not at all shabby for the second half of May. It could stay this way until September for all of me.
I really enjoy the convenience of being able to buy almond butter and great gluten free bread just down the street! In the jungle it's much more of an effort. and the weather today is beautiful. so so far today is a day to smile!
Oh. Man. I just had a coffee-and-cookies visit from 2 great friends whom I dearly love and have known for years. DH met them socially for the first time and he. likes. them. Not one rude comment after they left. Not a slight evincing of the usual superiority which he tends to use to hide his timidity.

if it's going to be outdoors - hopefully it'll be a very hot and humid day - so the *splunk* will be a welcome relief!
The plans I have for cooking/baking this weekend. That, and the fact that the weekend is less than an hour away - woooot!
A nice, normal Friday evening at home (after scooting home safely in the horrendous weather), mulling some wine and making delicious roasted pepper 'cream' sauce and pasta.
Oh, and more sneaky workee smooches. >:D
I woke up smiling today--I am so happy! To continue the good vibes I'm going to spend time with my seniors, then the rest of the day in the kitchen juicing fruit and roasting veggies! NOM NOM NOM NOM!
...because my daughter is out with a boy and I have the whole house to myself. I'm just surfing the web, drinking blackberry sage tea, preparing to make a pitcher of gazpacho, and listening to a little Waymon Tisdale (R.I.P. Waymon).
FINALLY tidying up under my bed. Yay! No more under the bed monster!

Another reason to smile: finally, yesterday, I bought some red Tai Chi pajamas. I've been promising myself some for years, that when I got down to my weight I could have them. And they're not silk, which is also a plus. They had synthetic (looks like silk but isn't) and cotton. Next month I will get a cotton pair. Bliss. Comfortable and gorgeous.

My new reason to smile: a big ol box of books in English, including one I had lent to someone YEARS ago, and they never gave it back and then swore blind I'd never lent it to them in the first place. And how the person who gave me this box got hold of it I'll never know. My name and adress are stamped in it on the flyleaf.
