hey all, just letting you know that I got an email from dprince's wife , and he was tragically killed by a drunk driver in a car accident a few weeks ago...

Oh no, that's so sad. :( His daughter probably won't remember him...I think she's less than a year old.
Such sad news. I hope happy memories are a small comfort to the family right now.
He seemed like a truly nice man. I can't even imagine what his wife is going through...so, so sad.

When you click on a thread like this with the title "sad news", you're usually expecting some animal-related sadness or small veg inconvenience/problem. Having those expectations and then reading news like this is just crazy. Rest in peace dprince.

Just a quick thought, since I have a feeling others would like to send notes/pictures/cards, etc., (in an effort to respect the family's privacy) perhaps someone should be designated to receive them and then send them all at once.

Maybe Hanashi is right about one person co-ordinating cards, because I know I'd like to send one too.
I didn't even hardly know him. Now I wish I had. :'(
