I started using this product about 6 months ago and it is HANDS DOWN the best food supplement I have ever tried.
It's a FRESH, LIVE, RAW, ORGANIC (VEGAN!) blue green algae that is harvested at Klamath Lake in Oregon. The lake was formed by a volcano, so the algae is full of nutrients from the earth (E3 stands for Earths Essential Elements). It comes frozen (the lake freezes naturally so it does not lose any nutrients in the process) and has NOTHING else added.....it's totally pure and every batch is tested for contamination. I like the taste-but for those who don't-you can mix it with juice and hardly notice it at all.
Since I started taking it, I have noticed a dramatic increase in energy, I am more focused, and I just feel better all around. It has over 64 vitamins and minerals that are easily absorbed because it has live enzymes and amino acids. For vegans its great because it has B12, EFAs, and protein too!
One serving (about a tablespoon) has as much if not more nutrients than 2 pounds of fresh greens. The greens aren't as nutrient-dense because of depleted soil.
My husband is a high school band director and he started taking it this summer during band camp (hold back the laughter, please). It's really not, considering that one bottle will last you a month. you only take 1 tablespoon per day. I only do extra if I am sick or feeling tired in the afternoon.
It's really no more than buying good quality vitamins.
You buy 4 bottles and get one free to offset the shipping.
You have to buy 4 bottles minimum (plus one free) because they ship it FED EX 2 day to make sure it stays frozen/cold. If it gets warm, it loses its nutritional value. I wish that you could just buy one bottle (I tried to convince the company to let me when I first ordered!) but they won't do it. It is not cost effective because of the shipping method (oh, and to CA from Oregon shouldn't be that much for you!)

This does seem brilliant, and being a mother of a 2 year old with another on the way AND having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome it's something I'm very interested in. However I'll agree it does seem like a lot of money, I looked on the site and I could only see the min. order of 5 bottles which would work out as £18.60 per bottle which actually doesn't seem bad at all and if my local HFS stocked it I'd give one a go.
It's just the paying out of that amount of money in one go is just something I can't do right now :(
HOWEVER if I get to the point where I can this will be first on the list, there's not cure for CFS and I'm very serious about anything that could help me!!!

i am still interested but on the website it says u should build up to using a bottle a week! so u don't think that is necessary? just 1 tablespoon on most days
I do not think that is necessary. 90 percent of the time, I take 1 tablespoon per day and that's it! I take more if I am sick or just feeling tired, which seriously rarely happens any more.
I do know a body builder at my gym who takes it 3 times a day. He weighs a lot more than me though, and uses a lot more energy lifting weights and such.
You might find that you like a little bit added to your glasses of water during the day.
You will go through it more quickly if your BF is on it (we have a family of 4 on it now!). It' s like liquid gold to me.....I don't like to waste a drop!
I do not buy any other supplements or vitamins now, and neither does DH. I feel that this has everything we need in it, so we do save that way.

yes i got it yesterday! sorry my computer had a major meltdown and my bf got it running tonight... we r both gonna start out with 1 teaspoon a day and i am gonna switch off each day with the brain on and the regular... that's what u wanted me to do right? i am really excited my bf said he couldn't even taste it mixed into a little cup of juice :)

I was going to suggest thawing out a little of each one....and putting them each in a different mason jar or container. Label the bottoms, but mix them up so you don't know which is which. Then rotate them every other day and compare how you feel after a week. If you think you felt "better" on certain days than the others, check to see which one you were taking! maybe keep a little log and rate your energy/mood on a scale of 1-10 so you don't forget which day was which.
Then you will know if the Brain On is really worth it! Does that make sense?
Also know after you thaw some out that it should used with in 7-10 days, and that the rest should go into the freezer.
When you run out of thawed product, just take a bottle out of the freezer, thaw for a couple of hours, pour, and refreeze the bottle again. It can be frozen/thawed indefinitely (just like the lake). Don't let it get warm or it loses nutrients.
