Good Deal on Vegweb

I just came across this by accident-maybe you already saw it, but you can get a lifetime subscription to vegweb for $34. Never have to pay again! They ran this special a while ago and I missed it and I was waiting for it to come back, and its back! Then you can send messages to people-I'm not sure what else?! I am a sucker for a deal so I signed up. Just go to account settings, then membership, and you will see it. Last time I received an email to my home address about it, but I didn't get one this time. It expires at the end of the month. I'm glad I was searching around for no good reason!
Is that you in the picture? It looks like the person in the picture is explaining what you posted. :) I like it.
Actually, that is a painting of me. I commissioned her to do it, but I decided she painted me with too much hair :D.......

I almost added to my post that "NO I DO NOT WORK FOR VEGWEB" (but wish I did work for VW!). To be honest I am not sure what all the advantages are. Maybe admin can address this?
Can you send others messages if you don't pay? ? I think I have always paid so I don't know.
Anyway, I think it would be a nice gesture to support this site financially since its such a great site. Imagine if it disappeared one day because it was short 34 dollars! It would be your fault! Its a one time payment that lasts the rest of your life! Maybe its hidden because they don't want us to know about the great deal......I SWEAR I am not getting paid for this! ;)
BTW, my 5 year old son drew the picture on paper and we colorized it in Photoshop. Isn't it great? More to come from this budding artist! It isn't me, but I wish I looked that good!

And you convinced me. Even if there are no benefits to being a "member," I use this site several times per day for recipes and participate in the (great) forums most days. Vegweb deserves the donation. Off to become a member!

I went ahead and added a profile for myself too. You know I don't have any decent photographs of myself? I'm usually behind the camera--all my pictures are of my cats, my husband, my flowers, my food...hardly any of me! :P

Thanks for your support! VegFriends Subscribers are able to initiate new messages to VegWeb members. In addition, subscribers have a VegWeb blog link at the bottom of their profiles and can add blog entries. There are some additional features that we would like to incorporate down the road, but that's it for now.
