Anyone no of vegan shoes made in America?
I found these http://www.usmadeshoes.com/johansen/womens-shoes?brand-code=natural-bridge&shoe=target---black-patent--white-smooth and think they are cute, but I'm still looking for some more, sneakers too.
And does anyone know what "kid" as a shoe material means? I keep seeing it listed under the material to make the shoe. Is it leather made from children? ^-^ *jokes* A baby goat is called a kid right?
I'll take a look at any foreign made fair trade vegan shoes too if you know of any.

Yes, I believe that "kid" refers to leather from baby goats (e.g. "kid gloves").
Some New Balance sneakers are made in the U.S.
Pangea Vegan Store "sells only goods made in countries where labor laws or unions are in place to protect the workers." They don't have a huge shoe selection though. They do have New Balance sneakers. That's where I got my "Stability Walkers," which are great.
The brand, Vegetarian Shoes, manufactures in Europe and the UK.
There are also these fair trade sneakers: http://www.fairdealtrading.com/footwear.htm
Thanks! I'll be sure to check those out.
I asked on yahoo!Answers what "kid" meant and one of the answers said it was from young calves so that it was extra soft leather, I gagged just reading that. :'(

Not that it makes it any more or less gross, but it is goat: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/kidskin
