Just for FUN: Cute things veg*n kids say!

I've been keeping a list of quotes from my daughter for many years (she's 6 now and has been vegan since birth) and have noticed how much people on FB, etc. are enjoying her sayings. Anyone else want to share fun things kids say? I'll go first with a few:

"That smells disgusting. Is that cigarettes or pigmeat? Or cock-a-doodle doo meat?"

"Tofu is the most delicious crap I've ever tasted." (We were discussing the use and mis-use of the word crap that day, and in context, this had my cousin and I laughing hysterically)

"That looks delicious. Do I have to eat some carrots first, though?"

"That cutie looks like a crusher dumpling. And you're as cute as a rainbow cutie with hearts hanging all over you."

OK, that's enough...what you got??

This is just a cute kid I saw on campus one day. I was walking down the stairs and witnessed this:

Girl: Mommy I don't wanna be a college kid no more
Mom: Why not?
Girl: The stairs are too hard

This is still one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

this happened over a year ago when my oldest was less verbal than he is now, but it is still funny.  It was about 4:30 pm and I was trying to make it through the grocery store with 2 hungry preschoolers, so I was feeding them juice and crackers to keep the peace.  I must have ignored my sons request for more for a little too long because all the sudden he shouts at the top of his lungs "MORE CRACK MOMMY!"  to which I replied in an equally loud voice, "Yes, you may have more crackERS!, honey, crackERS!"

Not my kid and not vegan, but I came across this and it's too funny not to share...

From the Overheard in New York Blog:

Columbia student volunteer: So, who knows what soy milk is?
Fourth grade girls:
Columbia student volunteer: Well, soy milk tastes like milk, but it's made with beans.
Fourth grader: Hold the phone -- beans has titties?

:-D I almost pissed my pants laughing...

my daughter was just singing "Patty-cake" and the words were a little off, "patty-cake patty cake make me a man as fast as you can," (I was like, oh honey, if it were only that easy:) )

I was in Target the other day and there was a little girl, maybe 3 or 4, singing a combo of "jingle bells", "old mcdonald had a farm", and another song I didn't recognize all at the same time.  She kept switching songs after a line or 2.  She was also singing in her cute off key little kid voice at the top of her lungs!  I laughed for the rest of my shopping, as I could still hear her across the store.

I was at a friend's house, and the othe kids were all eating hot dogs.  My daughter asked me whose dog they were eating and was quite upset about it.  After hearing that it wasn't a real dog that they were eating, she concluded that chicken nuggets aren't made of real chickens either.  I don't think I was able to convince her otherwise.

Another time we were in a high-class specialty food market.  We were passing the meat counter when she shouts, "Yuck!  Why does it smell like dog poopie in here."  The guy behind the counter was not amused.

I was at another friend's house, and the kids where playing in the kitchen set.  She thought the drumstick was a fish and was "swimming" all over the house with it.  No one else got it, but I thought it was funny.

My daughter is only 2, I haven't really told her much about meat and that we don't eat it, she just know's that sometimes I say 'we don't eat that'.
Over Christmas we were at my sisters and Winn (my little one, she calls herself 'woo') was watching a children's cooking show and in it they showed how they caught fish so Winn saw they wiggling, then not moving, then on a plate ready to eat.
They more she watched the more her little face dropped and her chin started to wobble and she looked at me with really big eyes and said 'woo don't eat that...?' and I had to reasure her that we didn't eat things like that.
Only problem is she wanted to know who did eat it, when she found out my sister ate meat she just frowned but didn't say anything but suddenly became very protective of my sisters dogs and kept saying 'woo don't eat you' to them and shooting my sister the 'naughty' look!  Not really sure how I explain that most of her family thinks it's okay to eat some animals and not others when Winn is just a very caring girl naturally and really really loves animals!

Lately whenever I have to re-direct Lyle because he is being unsafe, he looks at me with a HUGE smile and says, "hi mommy". I think in an attempt to distract me from the issue at hand (tearing up Noah's homework, writing on the walls, climbing on the table, etc...). I have to say it's pretty cute, but what a handful he is! He is 19 months old.

ahhhhhh...precious times!

Kea isso funny, she wakes up in the morning and climbs right into my face and asks, (about a centimeter away from my nose,) "Mama, are you proud of me?" or "Mama do you love me" it seriously melts my heart!

Last year, we rescued a malnourished cow from a horrid farmer here in MS. We kept it for a couple weeks until we found a vet to take her in. I asked Xan and Christopher what they wanted to call our "fostercow", and they chose 'Not A Hamburger'. I <3 my babies! :cow:

we got a couple hermit crabs and at first my daughter wanted to name them "T-rex "and "brotosaurus" and now wants to call them "the big bad wolf/robot" and "kawoozy" -(not sure what that last one means?)

Okay, my boy is 17 months old and a real handful!  But he is JUST starting to talk.  For quite some time now, when he drops something I say "uh - ohhh " and he looks down at it.

Now he does it and it is the cutest thing!  He will drop a fork, or whatever he is holding while in a chair, over the side of the chair on the ground, he just looks down at it and says "uhhh ooohhhhh" and then looks at me at the end of the "ohhhh" and his mouth is in a perfect oval.  The cutest thing ever!

He also likes to say "bubble" which is a word he learned at daycare.  But the way he says it is "ba-bole, ba-bole". I just die.
