I thought I might not be the only one, so here is my rhyme, please post any you might have

This little piggy went to market
This little piggy stayed home
This little piggy had TOFU
This little piggy had none
This little piggy cried wee, wee, wee all the way home

Tofu fits the meter, and we don't have any piggies with cholesterol problems on our feet!

Ha ha, I say the exact same thing to my son.

But I think that the word for tofu is supposed to rhyme with "wee" like "beef" does.  I can't think if a vegan food that rhymes with wee.

Get this, I am so loved!  :)>>>

Over this last weekend I visited my son's father and his father's family, so my son's grandparents.  Mikey wasn't eating much the whole time.  One lady was like "he needs to eat chicken to build up his immune system...yadda yadda" and she was like, can I give him a piece of chicken.  Me, knowing what would happen, just said "yeah".

He did what I thought, he picked up the little piece of chicken, put it in his mouth, made a face, then spit it out and didn't touch it again.  I didn't cook any thing for that meal but BG (grandma) made some beans for me.  They wern't very good, undercooked, Mikey didn't like them either.

Now...the next night they had leftover roast chicken and I  made my legendary tofu stirfry.  Everybody liked it, but Mikey DEVOURED it!  It was the only time all weekend he actually really ate anything besides fruit and bread.

I kind of went back to a ovo-lacto vegetarian diet, part time, mainly just on trips to make things easier.  Well, Sunday morning I made an egg and cheese omlett with toast and jelly, and sure enough, Mikey devoured it.  The next morning grandma tried to make him an omlett too, exactly as I made it, he wouldn't touch it.  I am not sure why, but he just wouldn't eat it.  It is like he only wants to eat what I cook and if anybody else cooks he won't eat it.

Of course, BD is a jerk and hates everything I cook and refuses to eat anything.  Everybody loved the tofu stirfry, except him, he had chicken and rice...that is it...yuk.

And I over heard him tell his mom that he is worried about Mikey not eating meat, and grandma was like "he is doing fine and looks great, I wouldn't worry about it."  That made me feel good.  Mikey's great-grandma even made a comment about how healthy he is and thinks that I am doing the right thing by the vegetarain diet, that was a real compliment comming from an 80+ old lady.  Then she said when she saw (and smelled, it looked and smelled devine, very colorful!) that she bets that I am a really good cook.  I just responded that I cook differently then most people, some people really like my cooking, some don't.

I am happy and am really proud of my boy!

anytime I'm reading a story w/ a picture of meat in it...like The Very Hungry Caterpillar for example I always say .."then he ate 1 piece of veggie sausage, i piece of tofurkey.."etc.....so now if she sees a pic of some meat thing she'll say "look Elmo like veggie sausage too" When we encounter real meat, dairy or eggs at get togethers or restaurants and she sees those foods I just say "thats meat, and  we don't eat animals" and she always accepts that as an acceptable answer.
