First, she lives in freaking Hawaii, has an adorable daughter, and submitted the recipe for Roasted Garlic and Pumkin Seed Pesto, which is quite possibly the most insanely addictive sauce/dip on EARTH. Seriously, if you slathered it on my hand, I'd be hard pressed not to eat it. Genius. babysgotsauce, please adopt me!

Where do you call home? Kauai has my heart, however I'm back in my home state of Minnesota currently finishing up my board certification in Behavior Analysis

What do you do when you're not on VegWeb? I work with children with autism, go to school, hang out in my new garden, and most importantly be a mom to my darling two-year old (the best part!)

I'm still getting the hang of it so theres not a lot on it yet, but I think its fun (especially for non-vegan friends and family who are intimidated by vegan cooking)

One unique thing should know about you? hmm..I like to read cookbooks in the bathtub as my "me-time" at night, my BF Taj thinks its funny.

What’s the best thing about being vegan? (if you are!) Everything! I feel good about myself for letting my ethics outweigh society's norm! I also love the food and veganism has opened up a whole new world for me as far as cooking and baking. i also feel very healthy!

Favorite recipe on VegWeb to make for non-vegans to show them how amazing vegan food can be? This was the recipe that started it all for me, its what freed me from rice and beans...(yes, I was so naive I didn't know you could easily make chocolate vegan cake), and its what led me to VegWeb.

#1 Cooking secret/tip?
The trio of Nutritional yeast, Braggs Liquid Aminos, and Mellow White Miso makes marinades and soups absolutely delicious! (its really salty tasting, so you don't even have to add salt!)

Best music to cook by? reggae! Seriously, check out Eek-a-mouse, Katchafire, and don't forget the Grateful Dead people, (not reggae, but still very neccesary)!

Three people you'd most like to have dinner with? Captain Paul Watson, (from SSCS), B.F. Skinner, and Bob Marley.

All time favorite restaurant?
Ecopolitan its a raw/vegan restaurant in Minneapolis.  A FYH "cheese" pizza from Pizza luce is great too!

French fries or ice cream? French fries dipped in ice cream

Soy milk, rice milk, almond milk? I lived on rice milk for the past year and a half of being soy free, now I've been incorporating some chocolate soymilk back into my life.

Tofu, tempeh, or seitan? tofu for sweet and seitan for savory...once you can make a good homemade seitan you're pretty much unstoppable! (knead alot, keep that broth COLD and barely simmer, do not boil, even if recommended)
