Weekly Giveaway: Giant Grab Bag from Vegan Etsy! infinitenesm is the winner!

If you're anything like me, you're obsessed with Etsy. It's the best place on the internet to buy the coolest and cutest stuff directly from individuals and small businesses. I can shop in my pajamas and support the little guy? Yes, please! What you might not know is that Etsy has an entirely vegan section! Check it out: http://www.etsy.com/shop/VeganEtsy!  Hooray! All the goods purchased through this part of the site are guaranteed vegan, and are most likely adorable and awesome. From vegan cookies and cookbooks to cruelty-free scarfs and soaps, Vegan Etsy has it all. As usual, VegWeb's got your back. We're giving away a Vegan Etsy grab bag filled to the brim with compassionate goodies to one lucky VegWebber. Hello, Christmas presents.

For a chance to win the grab bag, all you have to do is let me know what your favorite gift to give (or receive!) is?

Giveaway ends on Tuesday, December 22nd at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!

I agree with others, the best gifts are homemade!  Whether it be vegan baked goods, or a knitted scarf, nothing means more then something crafted just for me!  In fact, last year my sister worked really hard on a BEAUTIFUL scarf, and it stands out as my favorite present that she has ever given me :D

What a coincidence - I just bought three x-mas gift baskets from a Vegan Etsy shop today! Three dozen cookies (chocolate chip, chocolate butterscotch chip, gingerbread, peanut butter and snickerdoodles, yum), along with a sampler of homemade chocolates (peanut butter cups, peanut butter and jelly cups, and peppermint patties). These are for my two grandmothers and a great-uncle, but I would not mind receiving one of those babies myself, nosiree. Nom! Vegan Etsy rocks.

I like to give gifts of things I've made, both food and art. These are the same kinds of things I love to get as gifts as well!

Vegan Etsy ftw!  I'm so glad more people/places are becoming vegan-friendly and making it easier for us to get great stuff without hassle.

Speaking of, I love giving and receiving anything relating to books.  Books themselves, bookstore gift certificates, anything.  LOVE reading. ^_^

I like giving things that I know will really mean something to the recipient. Two Christmases ago, I had the only copy of one of my mom's favorite pictures of her and I blown up really huge and framed. She cried. I've yet to find a better gift to give, but I think I'll do a good job this year.

Books.
I love books.
I love receiving used books from friends.
it's some sort of weird connection that's hard to understand..
but I just love discussing books with people.

Less a thing than a category - I like gifts of things that were used by the giver.  Right now I'm angling for my parent's extra whisks.  I like the history associated with used.

I love getting really useful stuff, like for my kitchen, and I love to give handmade and thoughtful personal gifts like mixed CDS or artwork or something I've made :)

We had a Yankee Swap at work today and I gave an apron I made and a jar filled with the ingredients to make the peppermint chocolate chip cookies from here.  I was so happy to make and give that gift and it was chosen quite a few times! I think that's one of the best gifts I've given and I want to do it again!

I bake cookies almost all the time for people for exchanges, care packages and holidays. Usually I'll wrap up a dozen or two cookies in a pretty box or tin, and I'll write the recipe all purdy-like on a nice little notecard, sometimes adding little decorative accents and the like.
They've always been well-received, but the most popular ones are the Best Oat Cookies That Ever Existed, usually with cranberries. People LOVE them.

I love aprons! I want to start making them and wearing them on a regular basis, as a pretty and functional accent to my layered skirts. That's so cool that You gave a handmade apron as a gift!

Add me to the list of those who like practical things. When my MIL asked me what I wanted this year, I told her a wastebasket. Really. I need one because my baby has started to chew on the cardboard box I've been using.
