Oddly enough, I've never made my own veggie burgers, but I really like the veggie burgers that Boston burger company makes. They're an omni burger joint, but they have assured me that their homemade veggie burger is vegan ;D.
I love Boca's grilled burgers. These are so good! I do love a recipe on this site for vegan bacon cheeseburgers which is excellent.
For store-bought, I love Gardenburger brand Veggie Medley and Boca's Original Vegan. For homemade, it's limitless. I love black bean, lentil, chickpea.... oh, now I am getting quite hungry!
The Get Your Groove On Burgers are awesome with the beans and salsa. There's also another recipe I've had for a long time using TVP and peanut butter that's super good. I haven't really tried store-bought burgers - I like to make everything myself!
Can I go the easy route and just say BOCA vegan originals are still absolutely delicious? I also enjoy the black bean burgers from veganomicon, and I found a white bean burger recipe that you bake in the oven online once that was absolutely fantastic. Nom.

I like the ones that have a beany or veggie taste... I hate the soy ones that are meant to taste like hamburgers! (I never liked hamburgers) My favorites are probably chickpea and black bean burgers... and I love Vegenaise on it.
I really liked the Get Your Groove On Veggie Burgers too, they're so yummy! At home we have a great Beet Burger recipe too...as for store bought, we really like Quorn chik'n patties!
