Weekly Giveaway: Raw cleansing kit from Garden of Life! SaraMonster wins!
The holidays are finally over and we're all feeling like stuffed Tofurky sausages. I'm the girl who never turns down a sweet treat, and I found myself saying no to a slice of pumpkin pie this weekend. Unprecedented. Normally I find cleanses restrictive and a little scary (there's no candy bars on this cleanse? NO THANK YOU!), but I'm kinda feeling them lately. Especially the one from Garden Of Life (http://www.gardenoflife.com/ProductsforLife/SUPPLEMENTS/DigestiveHealth/RawCleanse/tabid/1895/Default.aspx), which is all-natural, raw, and filled with good stuff like organic flax, chia, spirulina, and coconut flour. guess I could use more of that. It's totally vegan and promises to boost your immune system, detoxify organs, and aid in digestion. And better digestion just means eating more delicious stuff in the future. I'll take it! Well actually, you'll take it.
To enter to win a kit, simply let me know if you've ever done a cleanse before and the results. It's okay to say you haven't, I'll still accept your entry!
Giveaway ends on Tuesday, January 18th at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!
I have never done a cleanse but am highly interested in trying it.
I have never done a cleanse before, I am pretty sure that I am in need of one.
I have never done a cleanse before because it seems there are so many choices and ways to do them. This one seems simple enough and well explained.
if i feel a little "blah" i just stop eating vegan junk :)
I really enjoy doing cleanses periodically--it is refreshing to give your body some down time and let it heal itself. I would love to get my hands on one of these kits! <3
I've never done a prescribed 'cleanse' before, but sometimes I do tend to switch to more raw food if I am feeling a bit off.
I have never tried a cleanse, but I would love to give it a go! My New Year's Resolution is to clean the sugar out of my diet and go as "whole food and raw" as possible to get as healthy as I can be. A good cleanse would be a great way to get started!
I have done them over the last 3 years, about twice a year, once in the Spring, and then once in the summer. If nothing else, the cleanse and organizing myself for it, gets me back on into trying new things and thinking about what I am eating rather then blindly hand to mouth existence.
i did the master cleanse and hate hate hate it... especially if u do the salt water part... i didnt eat for 3 days but gained like 10 pounds from that salt water shizzzzz :( it went away eventually when i de- bloated
I've done a veggie-only diet for a few days.
I tried the Master Cleanse. Made it about 26 hours with no food, started to hallucinate and got really mean. NO MORE FOR ME :)
The closest I've come to a cleanse is a week long raw food diet that I had to quit three days in because my detox symptoms were so horrific, and then just last friday I did a 24 hour water fast. The detox on the raw food diet for me included migraine headaches, stomach cramps and nausea. Interestingly, on the 24 hour water fast I never felt that physically hungry, but the idea of food was overwhelming and everything sounded and smelled delicious.
I am really interested in doing a cleanse,it's the best way to start 2010!
never done a cleanse, and I doubt I could ever make it!
I've been considering a cleanse and have read about a few different ones. Not sure which to try so I'm game to try this one. :D Thanks for the offer!!
I'm too much of a food whore to avoid it for any length of time - but I do think my body could benefit from a good flushin'
i haven't done one yet. as soon as i wanted to do one, i got pregnant and i was too scared to do one while i was pregnant. i'm nursing so i still don't want to do one. but as soon as i can permanently pry my child from my bosom, i'll be doing a cleanse. probably fruit and water. that feels the most doable to me. :)
I've been vegetarian for 41 years. When I was younger, I ate nothing but rown rice for a week. My cheeks got rosy & it felt good. Now, I cleanse by fasting for a day & drinking filtered water & organic juice.
I've never done a cleanse before, but I am highly curious...
I have never really done a real cleanse, but have been trying to up my Raw intake so thats about as far as that goes...this sounds awesome!
I did a 4 day water fast a few years ago. I've never done a commercial cleanse, I just followed Dr. Fuhrman's basic rules. I really liked how it made me feel after, and during actually (after the initial headache). I'll probably do it again when school is out for summer.
