Hi all!
I just wanted to thank you all for stopping by the newly redesigned VegWeb! We're so proud of and excited about the site, and we hope you will be too.

Yabbitgirl, I think all the threads are still here, but since they are sorted by thread creation date instead of last post date, it can be hard to find the ones that were recently active. External search engines might be helpful, though they seem to be much slower than I expected in reflecting changes to the site. Your browser's history might also list the threads if you've opened them recently. (Or, my browser's history might, if you'd like me to try to find particular threads.) Unfortunately, even if you find the right thread, posting in it wouldn't bump it to the top, so it would be hard for anyone to know you had posted :\
(Well, the very last post would be listed on the forums overview page, but that doesn't help much if more than one thread within a forum has new posts...)
Oh, yeah, I know they're still here, I just can't find anything. Sigh.
I imagine no one else can either, which would explain why it's so quiet around here.
It'll sort itself out, I guess. Eventually.
All but 1 of the recipes that I saved over the years are gone as well. Has this been resolved yet? Please advice. This is so frustrating!

I just came across the old site and I can't believe you got rid of stars ratings! There is a great post by Canis_Major up the chain that calls out the problems with this. I'm not sure I can use this website as I used to without stars. Stars built trust, a 3 star recipe is not something I would choose to make, but I would make a 5 star. Likes are meaningless, it's a different scale. I went through my "liked recipes" and there are some listed I know I didn't like. They were "OK" and I would never make them again. I'm sure others had similar ratings, so I can't really trust the likes. Please bring it back, obviously many people believe it is important.
Veganamanda, I completely agree with you. The lack of a star rating is silly. There isn't even a way to dislike recipes!
I feel the new site is very shiny and pretty but it has sacrificed content and is incredibly difficult to navigate.
I feel like everything that was ever rated is counted as a like now. So if you gave a recipe one star, I bet it's in your likes. Not sure but I feel like it may be like that.
Vegweb is poop and I still don't have a working computer and I think I'm just done.
There are only four recipes in the "recipes I like" tab - I had nearly 100 recipes saved in my Recipe Box. Where have those gone?

@DarthCowgirl, they're coming, I'm so sorry for the delay, we are hoping for within the next two weeks. @underSARAH so sorry to hear that, we are bringing back stars but it's gonna take a minute. We are a very small team and working very hard. Unfortunately, we don't have the budget of Facebook to make changes immediately... I WISH!

I haven't been to visit in about a month and when I just visited Vegweb I noticed that the recipe box wasn't online so I thought maybe you'd changed your mind about bringing that back. I'm very excited to know that it will be coming back, and I am willing to wait patiently. I'm also excited to here that the stars ratings will also be coming back.
Thanks for all your hard work, after all this was a soft launch and there are always going to be kinks to work out, but the new site looks great, has great potential, and with a few changes it will be stellar!
I have checked back a couple of times but haven't yet seen a response to my first question, so I'm guessing that you're still working on it--that is, I still have many missing recipe photos from before the launch of the new website, and I wanted to know if they're gone for good or if that's on the list of things to be restored when you all get around to it.
Also, I always stay logged in to the site so I don't have to sign in each time, and today when I opened it up I was already signed in, but I was signed in as some random other account that I've never heard of ("headmistress" followed by some digits, I believe). It's not possible that anyone else used my computer in the meantime. So I wondered if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks for all your hard work, as always!
It happens, today I turned up as "you", LLV, and I have no idea whether this post will appear under my own name or not!

I know...these days I never know who I'm going to be when I come in here...and yet my posts are mine.

@ Laura Did you guys know some of the pictures of recipies are missing? Here is an example: http://vegweb.com/recipes/my-husbands-deviled-egg-solution-potato-angels
People in the comments even talk about all the pictures, but when you go to look at it, there is only one. I have noticed to that sometimes the pictures on the front page dont even show on the recpie page itself.
Also, do you have an updated ETA on our recipes box coming back? (all the things i marked before the site change?) .. i know originally you said a few weeks.. its been a few weeks (not trying to be b*tch* just wanted an updated ETA).. just wondering where that stands....
