So, the new season of Lost starts this week!
Who else is peeing their pants? I can't be the only one....

i already knew he was alive (that one episode where sun has her baby in a flash forward) but still. it was nice to see him again.

Huh? From last season? I thought in that episode Sun's scenes were flash-forwards and Jin's scenes were flash-backs, because at the end they go and visit Jin's gravestone.
Help. Again. At the end of the last episode it made it seem like it was some big revelation who Faraday's mother was. Why? Have we seen her before? I'm so very bad at this.
Faraday's mother is the one that guided Desmond throughout his "flashbacks".....she was also seen on the island as an "Other" in a few episodes....I believe she was the one they referred to as "the warden".....

Yeah. They were flashbacks. On the island, in present time, they were talking about how Jin was work-obsessed and I think those were flashbacks to show what how uptight he was and to lengths he went in order to promote business contacts. But,yay, he's alive now, anyway.

Thanks. I'd ask IRL people, but they roll their eyes too much and talk in exasperated tones when I don't remember all of the characters.

eloise hawking and the warden are two diff people i think. i'm pretty sure the blond girl that takes faraday to the h-bmomb is the warden

I just caught up on the last two shows. Nothing unexpected happened, which was excellent, because I didn't have to figure out who anyone was. It seems to me that Locke had to die, but he couldn't maim himself to the extent of snapping his neck, so Ben had to strangle him.
YAY! So glad this thread is back! I've watched nearly the entire first three seasons in the past month or so. Must find number four on sale!
I don't have anything to add of substance other than to say, hoooooooly crap.
Funny, that was my reaction at the end of last week's Big Love too...
--I will say I'm having a hard time getting behind the time travel this season. Perhaps I need to go back and see Season Four for it to make sense. Also I'm not really a sci-fi person but I liked the first seasons more for the human element of them.
I think the best scifi stories are all about the human element. Like the TV show Firefly. There hasn't been as much character development or human bonding elements to the shows as of late. The good news is that it's a story arc, so at least everything will be wrapped up by the end of next season. Before they do that, they'll have to spend more time with the characters themselves.
I'm still like 4 episodes behind. :'(

Joe, it wasn't until midway through the 2nd that I got hooked, but keep in mind, I was bed ridden at the time, so I had nothing else better to do.
I saw a few Season 1 episodes, no Season 2, and started watching regularly during Season 3. It's all much better when Locke comes into his own.
