omg, I BAWLED several times. I was still in awe. Not only because I worked to get his butt in there (lol) but because of the sheer historic significance and that I was witness to it all. This is so fantastic, overwhelming and inspiring. Everything I believe our country REALLY is came true and validated the faith and trust I have had in us..despite the dark times.
We did it and Obama is such a wonderful example of what a person can do if they set their minds to it. I am so thrilled we have him and Joe Biden who is also an inspiration to rely on now. Our country has a long, hard road ahead..but now I am not nearly as afraid I was and I know with their leadership, we will persevere.
*grabs everyone in a tear-filled group hug!*

I have many friends online in Canada, England and the Netherlands and they are all thrilled. My Canadian friends were glued to the TV with me last night and they cried as well. My English buddy knows way more about American politics than most Americans and he was thrilled as well. They all see an Obama as a way for their own country to take a turn and for this Global Economic crisis to improve. They all readily admit that as the American government goes, so goes their own..and they are not happy either with their leaders.
