Your mommy eats animals!

So, I have just watched and re-watched the documentary "Your Mommy Eats Animals". It is really the best documentary on veganism and animal rights I have ever seen. The director does a great job of keeping an objective view on the situation and allowing people to make up their own mind. It provides equal and eye opening coverage of the entire movement including things that most would not dare to venture in. This documentary has kept me thinking and questioning and thinking some more. I was wondering if anyone else had seen it?
If not I highly reccomend watching it. It really will alter or make you question your views and perspectives. I think it is available on you tube.
If you watch it or have seen it let me know what you think. I would love to hear how other people felt about it.

Is it called 'Your mommy eats animals' or 'your mommy kills animals'. The video i found was called 'your mommy kills animals' and i guess its the one you are talking about. Will watch it asap.

So i've seen it yesterday and will probably see it again sometime in the future. This documentary has shown me things that i did not know and got me hinking alot.

The 'Peta'segment blew me away. Now peta is not as big in europe as it is in the US so coverage on the animal killing is/was non existent (or at least it was for me). So that bit came as quite a shocker.
The ALF and SHAC 7 movement have the right ideas and i share the same ideology as them up to a certain point. They try to share their ideas through words and that is a good thing, freedom of speech is one of the greatest goods man can have but venturing into the realm of threats and violence is a no go for me. Burning buildings and threatening to behead little children is one step to far. I truly believe that a peacefull resistance will in the long run have more effect (but that is my opinion, i would love to hear what you think about this)

It got me thinking though that is should be more active about the subject of animal welfare. I mean the Shac 7 guys got years in prison for doing something they firmly believe so i think i could do a little bit more.

I would like to see it but I have a quick question: is it graphic? I really struggle with watching docs that involve really graphic scenes of animals living in extreme terrible conditions or being killed or dead. It actually makes me ill and I try to stay away.

I just finished watching it and there are a few short moments that are particularly graphic. Several of them are in the opening credits, which can be easily skipped over. However, if you are super sensitive I would probably stay away.

I thought this was a very well made documentary that explores organizations like ALF, PETA, and SHAC and the "terrorist" label the government has placed on them. I actually found that the hardest parts to watch were the animal rights activists screaming in people's faces on the street or subway. For me, and I think the filmmakers also, the undercurrents of violence within the direct action groups seemed in conflict with their message of compassion. I really agreed with the one woman who compared their tactics to the anti-abortion protesters.

Anyhow, I'm glad I watched it! I'd love to hear other people's reactions, too.

just watched this: ya i would agree that there is only a little bit of animal cruelty scenes... no more than maybe 5 minutes for the whole film... i'm disgusted with peta though... i didn't know they killed animals wtf? there goes my yearly donation to them... as well as hsus... not as bad but i don't feel confident that they are using the money donated to them for the right purposes (50% for fundraiser expenses)

i liked this film in that it taught me more about how the animals rights movement started... good info
