SO HOW'D IT GO?

I've made this a bunch and it is so good! I'll just peel and microwave one for me...I use Mrs.Dash southwest seasoning blend and last time I used up some leftover coconut milk instead of EB and it was tops!Love a break from the norm. Nom nom nom  :)>>>

This recipe is really great! This is actually the first recipe I made off this site, and it was really simple to make.  You don't need to buy a potato masher if you don't have it; just a fork will do.  I thought this was quite delicious, as I like spice added to sweet potatoes (as opposed to being made more sugary).

These were wonderful!  I made some minor changes: I used one partially seeded chipotle pepper which was canned and added a bit of the sauce, I also used bottled lime juice, added a bit of ground sea salt, and didn't add any vegan margarine or oil.  It was fantastic on some fry bread with a bit of crushed pineapple and some greens.  My sister and I really enjoyed this! ;)b

I can't find chipotle powder anywhere.  Is it ever called something else?  Where do you all find it?

I think it was called chipotle powder..I found it in with the bulk spices at our store.

The concept sounded great.  I love anything with Chipotle powder in it.  But these weren't so great.  I don't think I really like sweet potatoes.  Thats why I tried this, to see if I could make them delicious, but it just wasn't for me.  Or my husband.

This was great! Just wonderful if you like a little heat to your sweet potatoes:)

I'm still not sure whether I had a sweet potato or yam...but it was amazing! I LOVED it. I just cooked my one potato/yam until very soft in the microwave (coated with oil and sea salt), then melted some EB, added quite a bit of chipotle powder and lime..and some salt and pepper. Then, I poured this over the semi-smashed potato/yam. I'm wanting another!  :>

I haven't made this one, but I love making chipotle sweet potatoes--I use Alton Brown's recipe http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_24966,00.html which uses whole canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce.  All you have to do is replace the butter.
