Asparagus Pecan Saute

What you need:

1 teaspoon olive oil
1 pound asparagus
1/8 cup pecans, chopped
balsamic vinegar, to taste
salt and pepper, to taste

What you do:

1. Heat the oil in a skillet. Stir fry the asparagus in the oil for about 7 minutes.
2. Add the pecans (I end up adding a little more).
3. Add balsamic vinegar, a little at a time to taste. Beware.. Dont add too much. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Serve with a couple of raw whole pecans on top as a side to your favorite dish.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

YUM!!  I cooked my asparagus for more like 15 mins or so because i like it pretty tender (and I had monster-sized asparagus), and used pistachios. i dont really like asparagus that much but thought this was great. thanks!

:) Super yummy! This was my first time using balsamic vinegar and it turned out wonderfully... Next time I will add even more to the asparagus. Thanx <3

man, this was good as heck.  i put mine in the oven since my sautee pan was working on some chickpea cutlets, but that didn't matter one bit: the beauty of this dish is the combo of pecans and asparagus.  i intend to make this again and again; it's not too difficult and the taste is 'mm, 'mm good!

This is my favorite way to eat asparagus! With balsamic vinegar and some type of nut: I usually use walnuts but macadamias are equally tasty!
