Fall Harvest Porridge

What you need: 

1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1 cup water
1/2 a large apple or 1 small apple
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon Sucanat

What you do: 

Slice apple into pieces and put in a bowl. Combine oats and water over apples. Put bowl in microwave and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Remove from microwave and add the rest of the ingredients. Enjoy!
**You could also cook this over the stove-top. Just follow the directions on the oats container.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I finished off my apples yesterday, so I couldn't exactly follow this recipe, but I threw in some applesauce, ground flaxseed & fancy cloves, topped it with brown sugar and it was awesome.
