Tomato Basil Pasta Salad

What you need: 

1 pound whole wheat pasta
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper, to taste
2 cups cherry tomatoes, sliced
20 basil leaves, cut to ribbons
2 bunches green onions, chopped, whites only

What you do: 

1. Cook pasta according to package directions. In a small bowl, combine garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper.
2. Whisk to combine. Drain pasta, and rinse in cold water. Place all ingredients into a large bowl and toss to combine.'

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I've made this salad so many times now. Very refreshing and delicious. I first made it to take it on a camping trip. I added extra balsamic than the recipe called for.

Yummy and simple!  Only made half the recipe becasue 1 lb of pasta is a lot!  Made enough for me for 4 meals or so!

i love this pasta salad! it is so refreshing! i used fresh basil from the garden, added kalamata olives and pink onion in place of green onion.
