OK, another update!

Cali has improved so much in the last few days it is unbelievable.  She is now playing with all her toys.  Of course "mommy" had to buy her some new ones because her other ones were gross.  Covered in blood and pus etc.  She carries them around and puts them on the landing, in the kitchen, in the livingroom and the bed.  She really loves stuffed animal toys or plush toys.  She loves things that squeak.  I wish I could make her stop squeaking 19 year old Harold.  At least she is gentle with her.

Today marked an amazing day.  It warmed up enough that Cali went on her first walk in over 2 1/2 months and did her first pee outside since Christmas. 

She walked proudly in her red coat (it was warm but not warm as in summer,  just beautiful for a winter day) and as she is still very hairless, she needed it.  There is hair sprouting everywhere but very short and not fully covering her.

She has become silly and goofy again and is a joy to watch as she rediscovers puppyhood. 

She mouths my arm and if I walk by and she wants my attention, she grabs my clothes in her mouth.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love this dog?

I spent a couple of months while my heart was breaking helping Isabela pass on to the next stage of her life.  Cali deserved no less in helping her pass on to the next phase of her life....a long and happy one.

Again, she still has a way to go but it is all uphill now.  Have I mentioned how much I love this dog?  :)

On another note, Harold my beautiful female cat turned 19 on Saturday.  OK, that is the birthday I gave her because I got her as a stray when she was about 4 months old.  I had to buy 4 catnip toys because the other three cats would have stolen hers.  Had to buy Cali a couple of toys as well.

Anyway, I will continue to keep you posted as life improves for my girlie girl.
