NVR-Is it okay to let my kitten eat beans?

So I have this crazy kitten (3 months old) that loves beans.  Last night I let him have 5 pinto beans, but I didn’t want to give him anymore than that because I don’t know what they might do to his poor little digestive tract.  I don’t want to cause him any gassy discomfort, but he just cries and begs and he loves them so much.  Has anyone had any experience with bean-eating cats?  Will they react in his digestive tract like they do in a human’s (toot toot ;D)?  Should I stop feeding him beans?

Hahaha! I know lots of dogs that enjoy beans. I would think that our four-legged friends probably shouldn't eat daily meals o' beans, but the occasional snack couldn't hurt. Be sure to keep the windows open!  :o

Okay, signs I haven't had quite enough sleep. I read the subject as "NVR-Is it okay to let my kitten eat brains?"

And the logical progression in my head was to warn you that while cute, you should probably get rid of the zombie kitty.

:D

I'd say it's fine, but animals, like people will get gas. Isn't having pets who like the foods we like awesome? I think my dog likes tempeh more than I do!

Yes, I absolutely love that my kitty eats fruits and vegetables, I just worry about his little kitten tummy.  And you're probably right dinkfeet,  opening a window would be in everyone's best interest!

I think beans are OK. One of my cats really likes chickpeas--maybe for their "mock tuna" properties  ;D
