Eggs in Pasta?

Hey, I'm just wondering if there are eggs in pasta...I know in egg pasta there is of course, but I've looked on the internet and on the packets of most pastas and it only says Durum wheat and Semolina...
A lot of my friends say that there are eggs in it though....help
Some has egg in it.
Some doesn't. If the ingredient label doens't say "egg" you're good.
Often people in America making 'homemade pasta' use egg. Not as often in Europe.
wooo thanks a lot....I'm a vegetarian and was inspired to be vegan for a week to try out the diet....and I was worried about my eating pasta every day lol and failing the task! Now I know I passed ;D

"Egg noodles" obviously have egg in them. Mrs Gooch etc. usually do. "Real" italian pasta doesn't have egg, though it may have tomato or spinach!! (as coloured spirals, etc.) The egg in noodles thing is more Northern Europe, Russia and the Nordic countries. So yes, a lot of women learned to put egg in their noodles.

I was hoping there was none in my whole-wheat pasta. It doesn't mention any ingredients, just says this contains wheat or something.
they say that in america, noodles can only be considered "noodles" if the product contains 2% eggs or something like that....pasta is usually safe though,

that is because they have weird ideas about what constitutes food in the US. You can't call a pizza a pizza unless it has tomato sauce on it. Ice cream has to have a certain amount of cream to be ice cream and less it has to be ice milk. To call it cheese you have to have 52% or more milk content. THis is why Velveeta says "processed cheese food" because "processed cheese" is not "real cheese." You'll see American processed cheese food, which tells you it is primarily water and oil, not dairy. Nice thought, not only are you not eating that sticky gluey real animal thing, you are eating some of it and a lot of oil.
Then there is the whole "natural" thing. They are marketing "natural" flesh products. As opposed to unnatural flesh? To me, it is unnatural to eat flesh in the first place, but that is not what they mean. I eat synthetic chiken (TSP) so I guess isn't natural. This is all so naturally confusing...
