What is your definition of a "troll" anyway? What about me resembles a creature from Nordic mythology? I am sincere in my beliefs, non-violent, and logical. I've been experimenting with veganism over the past couple of years. I may be a political / philosophical iconoclast here, but if you don't want to have a discussion about political topics then why start those threads? Do you really believe that all vegans who don't share your political views should be banned from this forum? What does that say about veganism to the outside world?

There's nothing "fancy" about my vocabulary. English is not my first language, and my use of it is far from perfect, but I do try to be precise and articulate.
I'm not trying to "intimidate" anyone, just address the issues at hand on appropriate threads. I did not bring politics into this forum, I merely brought a different point of view into the already-existing conversations.

And I found libman.us/proj.html That particular Alex Libman states one of his current projects as "Endless daily libertarian forum "trolling" - does that count as a project?" Sounds like whoever that is, they have nothing to do and all day to do it in. From what I've read of what came up on Google searches, this is what it does. And no one loves it. I guess that's what it's going for. Negative attention is better than no attention. I had a brother like that. Shoot, maybe it's him.

Didn't your grammar teacher teach you about quotation marks? First of all, you're supposed to replace double quotes with single quotes when adding your own double quotes around a piece of text. Second of all, the quotes around the word "trolling" were obviously sarcastic, in reference to the word that ignorant people use to insult whoever tells them an inconvenient truth they cannot logically refute.

"This guy is a moron..." Seriously? You don't like him so you think he should be banned? ??? Is he threatening someone? Spamming? Is it so hard for you to see a dissenting viewpoint? There are folks here that I don't particularly like, and a few I can't stand, so I rarely read their posts. Simple. I don't publicly insult them; that is just egregiously (my fancy word of the day) callous. I'd be disappointed if I expected more from this place.

Maybe, if you're easily amused... :-D If one has serious reservations about a given poster, one should report them to Admin and let them take action, that's what the link is there for. Then Admin can take the action they see fit.

I don't think banning is necessary either, I mean it's an open site! I think the posts are a bit much, even though it is a "food fight" thread, which is obviously for being able to say whatever you think and argue and discuss, etc. But wow, he sure does have a lot of time to respond to every single thread's post! I have to admit, I think it's kinda funny too...

and yeah, like other people said, just avoid if you don't like someone, especially if discussion does not feel productive.

Yes: I think banning is likely eventually-- there's probably a limit to the number of overtly hostile/ snarky pro-animal-torture posts that the admins are going to tolerate, on a vegan site... but I think the best strategy is just to talk around him, since clearly the goal is to 'poke the bear' vs have any kind of actual idea exchange or community interaction... which seems to provide endless hours of amusement for mr libman, but is of extremely limited entertainment value to other VW users.
That's how it seems to me, anyway. Just don't get dragged into the quagmire, and report obnoxiousness that's over the line (which will inevitably escalate, in the unending quest for attention) to admins... It will sort itself out.
