Reasons to be excited!!!!!

ok, not like we really need another 'reasons to...' thread, but a couple of times recently I had a reason to be excited, not necessarily reason to smile and so maybe other people do too!
My RTBE: I just bought my very first car!!!!! I get to pick it up next week, so have a little while before I get to drive it but yay!!
HOLY AWESOME YES!!!! I just got invited to CBC that will be held in SF this year, by one of the local hop growers that was impressed with my beer nerdy knowledge :D

I just hope in the tradition of invitation and not mentioning going dutch... that i don't have to pay much out of pocket... b/c i really can't afford to go and pay for everything....
I got a letter last night finding out I was accepted to a PhD program at the Univeristy of MN!! I am honestly didn't think I had a chance of getting in there, so it was exciting. I also applied at Hawaii, so we will see if I get in there, but I love the program at UMN, and the advisor I am assigned to was my first choice as well! So excited!

ohhh i am so excited for it, but given the cost of the whole thing, i wont be able to go at all unless he was offering to pay as well..... I am just happy that i am being taken seriously in my field and looked at as an asset :)

I just looked at my mass media class syllabus. We're watching Food Inc! Yesss. I've wanted to watch it.

I still haven't seen Food Inc, but have heard a lot about it....too many slaghter-type scenes scar me for life, so sometimes I cannot handle those kinds of movies. Is Food Inc like that?

yah vh that is super awesome! I know how stressful it can be in those first minutes when tickets go on sale, just getting a ticket at all can be hard enough, so getting great seats is extra fantastic! You'll have such a great time! When is the show?

yeah it's nuts. last time i waited until only like 4 or 5 months ahead and got horrible seats. i wouldn't be surprised if eventually they started selling tickets years in advance

Hahaha.. I had to google NKOTBSB to find out what the S and B were at the end. That's awesome. I have a NKOTB cassette tape. :) And I saw BSB last summer at the local music festival.. for free. WHAZZZUP SUCKA!? Haha, just kidding. Have fun, darlin'.
