You are here

third times the charm!

I got my drivers license yesterday!

Yeah, it totally took me three trys.  ::) The first time, which you guys heard about before I could not reverse into a parking spot from a perpendicular angle, the second time I ran the stop sign right outside of the parking lot and my test was over in less than 5 minuets (it was pouring down rain and the lady was making me nervous!)

But yesterday, was fine. I got a perfect score. I think the thing that made the difference was seriously that the man who was testing me was mellow. the other two women acted really militant and uptight and it made me even more nervous.

Anyways. I'm so happy, now I can get to know this new city i am living in....and make it to the library more often to check in with y'all!

Congratulations VHZ!

Yay, congrats!!  ;)b  :D

I am very impressed when people get their driver's licenses.  Really.  I am 23 and haven't learned how to drive.  I'm scared.

I'm 46 and I still can't. So don't feel bad. Move to a city with good public transport.

And,  :)>>> VHZ!! See, I told you ya could. No worries.

That's my problem... I grew up in (and still live in) a city with good public transport and therefore have had no need to learn how to drive! But it's still a good thing to know how to do... and I probably want to move elsewhere soon. I just wish there was good public transportation everywhere.

I knew you could do it.  You are so darn smart and capable, things just needed to be right for it all to come together so perfectly.  I am so proud of you!

this is part of why I waited until I was 22. I did not WANT to contribute any more to the depletion of the ozone layer than I absolutely have to. I made a commitment to staying car free for at least 2 years, which I did. I think its GOOD not to drive if you can take public transportation.  ;)b

THANK YOU ALL FOR BELIEVING IN ME!!!!

Well done Zealia!!! ;)b ;)b ;)b

<---26, and have had my Learner's license for a few five years. Don't particularly want to drive a car, partly because of the environment, partly because of the crazy drivers in my city. Need to drive for work. Can't afford the lessons 'cause I'm on minimum wage (might have to have a chat to them about this!).

I drove a Suzuki 125cc scooter to work for a while, but still only have my Learner's motorbike license too. Le sigh. I've still got the scooter, and I'm prolly gonna sell it soon. Once I can get it to go, that is - it had an electrical fault from the start, which didn't help my confidence/experience at all. Le double sigh. ::) >:( :-X
