Colon Masses and KFC-only my MIL!!!

My Mother-in-Law was in the hospital for 3 days getting a large mass removed from her colon. :P
She got out yesterday and guess what the first meal she had was? Yup, you guessed it! KFC!
I can't believe that docs didn't suggest a cleansing diet or trying to avoid greasy/processed foods at least for a while. Well, I CAN believe it.....as long as she (and countless others) are munching on deep fried chicken parts and processed food, their (docs) wallets will stay nice and padded....
Just thought I'd share. I hope you weren't in the middle of your breakfast.
OH< and the good news is, dh is the one who told me and he had given her a hard time about it! Several years ago he was the one eating KFC! Progress I tell ya!
Yeah. Even if I was a hard core omni, I wouldn't want KFC right out of the hospital.
I cut KFC from my diet years before I even dabbled in vegetarianism. Yucky.
I am so chuffed (uh...pleased) that my DH no longer wants KFC when we go out. He used to like it cause it was a full meal and relatively cheap. But the formica table "burger joint" look and families with obnoxious kids put him off it. Today was his BD and he took me to the "good Chinese" place with tofu and veggie dishes on the menu!

Oh yeah! That's what I was thinking...I was going to reply a while back with what I thought "OM" was....but I couldn't remember what I had thought...that was it, though. haha ::)
Oh man! That's so gross she ate KFC right after surgery--guess she liked the procedure so much she thought she would f* up her colon again so she could do it all over! It's like getting in line twice for a fun roller coaster right...wait...no...that's not fun at all! Well--I hope she is OK--and maybe she will get sick (not too sick though) from the KFC and won't want to eat there buckets of cruelty any more!

was it a Bezor, L2A? b/c those are caused by fiber buidups...imagine a cat's hairball,only in our intestine. :-\
