Curbing Cravings (Sweets) or The willpower to say "no"

What are your tricks?

Yeah, popcorn is great for curbing salty cravings. I usually sprinkle mine with a little sea salt and melted EB. Or I drink some low sodium V8, that usually gets rid of the craving for a few hours.

I've found drinking fruit juice helps with sugar cravings (I love carrot apple juice). Fresh from a juicer is probably best if you have one. Or try unsweetened herbal tea, like raspberry zinger.

Clementines are the best fruit for curing my sugar cravings.

Are you hungry or are you in the mood for something bad? Typically cravings stem from the body needing something. If you're craving something bad, then you might just be experiencing low blood sugar or haven't eaten enough fats/oils that day. Try eating something healthy/high in fiber to help ward off these kinds of cravings. As far as temptation goes, my wife and I keep very little "bad" things at home. If we REALLY want a sweet or some (r)ice cream, we have to go to the store to get some. Not having unhealthy things at home really helps with warding off pig-out sessions.

I'd say try eating a high protein high vitamin bar like a Clif bar when you have a craving and see if that helps.  It usually helps me, because like others said, it can indicate that you are lacking in something.

good luck!  ;)b
